The Apprenticeship and Widening Participation Team are proud to have launched the Trust’s first BTH School Careers Programme.
The programme, which is aimed at our local young people, the workforce of our future, will educate and widen understanding of the many different healthcare job roles and great careers that are available in the NHS and at BTH.
The programme, which sees the Trust take a proactive approach to careers-based activities, gives our local young people access to a range of different healthcare professionals, both clinical and non-clinical, across a number of different touch points in their School journey.
Below are just a few examples of how BTH professionals engage with our local young people, educating, showcasing, widening access and understanding as part of our programme:
- Profession specific careers insight sessions
- Mock interview support
- Careers fair support
- Access to our professionals during our onsite careers open days
- NHS careers roadshows
- Medical Society sessions
If your child has taken part in any of our activities and found them useful, we’d love to hear from you. You can contact the Apprenticeship and Widening Participation Team at bfwh.
