The GP training scheme offers rotations in A&E, general medicine specialties, care of the elderly, O&G, paediatrics and psychiatry. Other specialties include ENT, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, GUM medicine and palliative care. 

Throughout the ST1 and ST2 training there is a weekly GP orientated teaching programme at the Education Centre.  All training tracks include 24 months in a community setting, at least 18 months of which will be in General Practice. There will be 6 months in a community post in each of ST1 and ST2 in a variety of practices. Some of these are innovative posts, which give you an opportunity to get experience in genito-urinary medicine, cardiology, frailty, palliative care , mental health, drugs and alcohol, CCG, clinical research or in the acute medical unit.
