AGE UK digital inclusion.jpgBlackpool Teaching Hospitals is helping people over 18 people get online with support from Age UK Lancashire.

There are many NHS services available digitally – for example, the NHS App has 33 million users. Since January, it now lets people view their prescriptions online as well as showing waiting times for elective care at their local hospital.

The digital inclusion project provides support and tuition getting online.

The advisors may also be able to help with a benefits check for people struggling to afford data or wifi packages. Support is available for help with:

  • iPad and tablets, mobile phones, laptops, smart speakers and TVs, online banking and shopping, social media and connecting with family
  • Managing your health and wellbeing through digital channels
  • Access the many digital services that can help with recovery from illness
  • Help with virtual consultations
  • Access the NHS app and management of appointments
  • Using QR codes

Anyone can ask for help and support for themselves or someone else.
