Meet our Infant Feeding Team

The Trust’s Infant Feeding team recently appointed its final member, and together is celebrating World Breast Feeding Week running from Thursday, 1 August until Wednesday, 7 August.

The team is now made up of four International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC); Shel Banks, Vicky Watson, Stacie Wenman, and Regina Mitchell. Regina joined the team recently and will work across Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde to provide infant feeding care and support for families.

IBCLCs have specialised clinical experience, education and help families navigate everything from antenatal preparation to optimising comfort, to supply problems and more complicated issues.

The Infant Feeding Team is also working towards the Unicef (UK) Baby Friendly Initiative Accreditation (BFI) for the Trust.
