Blackpool Teaching Hospitals People’s Health Hero will be unveiled at the NHS trust’s annual staff awards on Thursday.
Members of the public put forward the names of more than 50 individuals and teams following a call for nominations in February.
A panel of judges from across the trust selected the following three finalists:
- Jessica Ireland, Senior Mental Health Practitioner
- Michelle McNish, Community Midwife
- Lauren Walton, Neonatal Nurse
They, along with colleagues and teams, will discover the winner in theirs and nine other categories when the awards are broadcast online from 7pm. You can tune in using this link.
More than 400 nominations were received in total. Colleagues made the nominations in the other awards which are:
- Clinical Team of the Year
- Non-Clinical Team of the Year
- Chief Executive’s Unsung Hero Award
- Improvement Awards
- BTH Rising Star Award
- Volunteer of the Year Award
- Caring, Safe and Respectful Champion Award
- Learner of the Year Award
- People’s Health Hero Award
