There are several car parks and drop off zones on the hospital site. Parking charges apply. Parking is free of charge to vehicles that display a valid Blue Badge. Concessions available at the discretion of ward managers.

During protected meal times, visitors are not permitted, unless specifically helping with eating. 

You will see lots of uniforms during your hospital admission and even after you are discharged home. All staff will wear a badge identifying who they are. Some of our staff will wear their own clothes such as Doctors and Consultants.

When admitted onto this ward please declare any medications you have brought in, including any creams or inhalers. If agreed with your nursing team, some medications may be kept with you but must be stored in the bedside lockers provided at all times.

Please remember that any valuables you wish to keep with you while in hospital are your responsibility whilst on Trust premises. Please report any losses of property to a member of staff. 

 

 

You can use your mobile phone but please ensure you keep it on silent to not disturb other patients who may be resting. 

Please DO NOT take any pictures or recordings of staff or other people unless you have their consent. 

Free NHS Wi-Fi is available to all patients and visitors. 

Select "NHS Wi-Fi" in the Wi-Fi settings of your device. You will be redirected to portal.tnp.net.uk where you can choose a registration option. If you select "Text Message" ensure you have a good phone signal to receive the PIN code. 

TV services are provided by an external company and are available at a cost at your bedside on most wards, some wards do not have access to a TV service. 

Radio is free 24 hours a day. 

The Chaplaincy team is committed to providing compassionate spiritual care for patients, carers and visitors. Their services are available 365 days a year including night visits. They can provide religious support appropriate to the faith and beliefs on the patient.

There is a spiritual care centre on site which comprises a quiet room, Christian chapel and separate prayer and ablution facilities for male and female Muslim worshippers.
