This might be to explore if a referral is appropriate, or to support with a particular issue- sleep or behaviour difficulties for example.
How can we support families waiting for assessments?
Once a referral has been submitted and accepted, we all understand how important it is that a family continue to receive support with any current difficulties.
Should you feel this requires more immediate specialist advice whilst the family wait for their initial assessment, we are available to help you offer this to the families you are supporting.
We can, for example, supply sleep and behaviour diaries and discuss these when they are completed and returned to you should you need further specialist support and advice you can support your families with.
