CASHER provides access to comprehensive psychosocial assessments, including risk assessment, and joint assessment, where appropriate.
This is formulated on an agreed plan for children and young people up to 18 years of age, or 25 years of age for children and young people with additional needs, who attend A&E at Blackpool Victoria Hospital or who hasbeen admitted to the paediatric ward and registered with a Blackpool or Fylde and Wyre GP.
CASHER operates outside of normal office hours Monday-Friday 5pm to 10pm and Saturday-Sunday 10am to 10pm.
CASHER can be contacted via phone 24 hours a day 7 days a week to offer advice/support and guidance.
Our contact number is 0800 121 7762 and then Option 2 or 07810 696565.
We also carry out assessments at A&E of young people who attend due to struggling with their mental health. After carrying out the assessment we will make a recommendation as to whether the young person needs to be admitted or not. We will also signpost to the most appropriate service for ongoing support.
If you are struggling with your mental health, you can contact CASHER or a parent/carer can contact us on your behalf. There will be somebody on the phone who you will be able to speak to.
If you feel unsafe or are struggling and feel you need help with your mental health, you can attend A&E and a practitioner will be able to see you and talk to you about what may help.
We work 5pm-10pmMonday to Friday and 10am-10pm at weekends. We also work overnight so if you attended A&E we would see you within these hours.
We also run a group at Revoe Community centre and one a Fleetwood. These groups run activities, provide information on mental health and you can meet other young people with similar difficulties.
To make a referral all you need to do is give us a ring on 0800 121 7762 and press Option 2 or 07810 696565.
You can also email us at bfwh.
We will require a little bit of information and a summary of issues for the young person being referred.
