The Children and Young Persons Learning Disability and Neurodevelopmental team is made up of different healthcare professionals who provide assessment, treatment, advice to parents, significant caregivers and their children and young people up to the age of 18.
For children who have moderate to severe learning disabilities this can be on a variety of physical, emotional, behavioural health issues and assessment of clinical risk all based on a balance of probabilities.
The Neurodevelopmental pathway offers screening, assessment and treatment for hyperactivity, attention difficulties and impulsivity in line with NICE Guidance (NG87).
We exist to support children and young people with learning disabilities to achieve positive outcomes, gain meaningful connections with others and prepare them for adulthood by promoting independence. We strive to create fair and accessible support for every child and young person with a Learning Disability.
