Circle Of Security Parenting is a Group for Parents & carers with children aged 2yrs up until their 5th birthday

Delivered by Blackpool Parent Infant Relationship Service (PaIRS) & CAMHS via 8-10 sessions in your community, in order for families to fully benefit from the sessions, all session must be attended

The  Circle of Security Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened.

The program aims to help parents/ carers:

· Understand their child’s emotional world by learning to read their emotional needs.

· Support their child’s ability to successfully manage emotions.

· Enhance the development of their child's self-esteem.

· Honour parents innate wisdom and desire for their child to be secure

· Children need their parents/ carers you just as much when they are out exploring as when they are right there with them.

· It’s helpful to know the specific needs our children have. But knowing their needs and meeting their needs are two different things.

· It’s important to notice the ways in which children communicates their needs/feelings through behaviour.

It’s important for parents to think about what their child is feeling. Are they mad, sad, curious, joyful, excited, or angry? Remember, young children can’t manage big feelings on their own. Recognising these feelings and understanding them helps parents to be available for their child.

Various venues across Blackpool – every school term
