The Trust has 3 Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) services: the Children’s Speech and Language therapy service; the Adult Speech and Language therapy team and the Integrated Community Stroke and Neuro-rehab service (ICSNRS)
The Children’s SLT service and the Adult SLT comprise of SLTs, Apprentice SLT, SLT Assistant Practitioners, Speech & Language Therapy Assistants and Admin Support. In the ICSNRS, the SLTs work within a multi-disciplinary team.
All three services comprise of supportive teams which encourage development of all its staff and offers regular peer and clinical supervision. We come from a range of backgrounds and collectively hold a wealth of experience and expertise. We strive to share knowledge and skill building across the teams including CPD events, rotational opportunities and of course social events. We are dedicated to the continued growth of our profession by having regular student placements and supporting SLT Apprentices.
The Trust encourages flexible working to support staff in maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Staff wellbeing is very important to our team with our own Wellbeing Champions ensuring the team is kept up to date with the latest wellbeing support, activities and events.
The Fylde Coast is a beautiful place to work and live. The area is well known, not just for Blackpool, but also for the smaller coast towns such as Lytham, St Annes with places like the historic Lytham Hall in close proximity. The surrounding countryside offers quaint villages, stunning country walks and a host of restaurants, cafes and pubs.
With access to the M55, larger city centres, such as Preston and Manchester and the picturesque Lake District, are within easy driving distance. The train service also enables access to other areas, with London only a 3-hour journey away.
