Our charity, Blue Skies Hospitals Fund, raises money to enhance patient care across our Trust.
It supports the best in healthcare and medical research, aiming to banish the gloom of illness, allowing everyone to enjoy the blue skies of good health. The charity’s beneficiaries are the patients of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Thanks to your support of our charity, the Trust has been able to buy diagnostic equipment which helps speed up a patient’s treatment, provide comfort packs to visitors of critically ill patients and develop new ways of working to truly enhance each patient’s experience of our care.
Become a Trust volunteer
Volunteers have been part of our Trust for more than 40 years, committing their time to help and support patients, visitors and staff in many ways.
We currently have hundreds of volunteers who are actively involved in and around our hospital sits, making a difference on a daily basis to the lives of all who visit our hospitals.
Our volunteers are a valued part of the organisation, and we highly regard the impact of the work that the volunteers provide to enhance the quality of patient care.

Our Trust members have the opportunity to help shape the future of our Trust.
Becoming a member is free of charge, and gives you the chance to have your voice heard on developments and services carried out in our hospitals. You can vote for your local Governor and even stand as a Governor yourself.
Plus, all our members can benefit from NHS Discounts and will receive a discount in The Restaurant at Blackpool Victoria Hospital on production of their membership card.
